I loved DE:HR, and I got the Missing Link but for some reason I never got around to playing it. Its stand-alone right? So what happens with all your upgrades in it?

Iirc your points are reset due to plot/not inherited from the main game and you get s bunch to play with shortly after the beginning and can earn more later.

It also got a few achievements above not being detected during the whole DLC and finish the game without any Praxis upgrades.

Yeah I did the base game without being detected. I also did it without killing anyone, but the game had a bug on release when you loaded back in it sometimes "dropped" the KO'd bodies, and they died, so I didnt get the achievement :-p
I'll probably do Missing Link on a spot-free and kill-free run too, and then a second run without the praxis kits.

You will not be able to use them because of "reasons" and you will get ~7 praxis kits after the beginning of the gameplay.
