giveaways are most of the time very sHort. C
8 6hours should be the minimum in my opinioN.
users are not always online, while bots are, this causes that bots can enter more of the short giveaway than real persons.
Lookking also to the time zones, causes that bots have an advantage.
For the question: why do you make short giveaways when this only profits the bots and the persons who are constant online?

the half of 6 Giveaways are hidden in this post, [the giveaways ends 16 july]

Bump for Solved. Thanks for the brainteasers. I usually keep my GAs active for 24 hours, unless it's for a special occasion.

My GA's nearly always runs 3 days that anyone have a fair chance to enter if they have something to do in their reallife and aren't daily online or not.

Found one of the GA's.
Have a lot of stuff tested for 2 and 3 but it don't fit together. I don't see a direct solution.
Thats ok for me, i am not more hunting at puzzles and let other ones have a bigger chance to win.

You forgot the ones with sniffer scripts ;o)

I usually make it 1-2 days for public giveaways to give a chance to people who visit the site at least once a day and are in different time zones. I think short enough to give chances to enough people. If I make it longer it might get too many entries and make the entrants' chances too low, and if I make it shorter not everyone who visits the site once a day will get to see the GA. :)

I prefer doing my giveaways over two days, but if I have somewhere to be and I know I'll forget, I'll set to an hour so I know I'll still be on my PC

I've done some short giveaways for quick CV when close to reaching a new level. Also to promote short "events" I have had giveaways that last only a few hours while the event is live. Other than those examples, most of my giveaways last at least a few days so more people have a chance to join :]
