I wouldn't buy another digital game if it wasn't a steam key, unless I couldn't get it on steam at all, but I would still buy discs.

+1 but i dont buy digital games which arent for steam because i dont wanna be registered on a bazillion different pages. i really like steam and that is why i am using it as my main game library. i had to download origin for bf3 and desura for bloody traplands and uplay for far cry 3. i felt so wrong to use a whole new platform just for one single game...

It's always been like that in summer sales as well, get really cheap games just to have them even if you won't ever play them.

I'm not going for it this time, in the sale I'M only buying games on my wishlist OR if it really is a good deal, on a game I didn't expect, but will play entirely. And I'm certainly not continuing to buy bundles just because, like I did with some.

Well, alot of people are like that (including me) The Steam platform is just that great, it's much better to have a picture in a pretty frame than a picture without a frame.

It would take away from the beauty the frame gives but some people indeed prefer a picture without a frame for whatever reason.

I feel the same way and I kinda collect games, but not to just collect them, I really wanna play them all, but it can't keep up with them ^^

Thank God I don't have your problem. Every time I even start to drift in that direction, I remind myself that, someday, Steam is going bye-bye--taking all of its games with it--and I have signed away my right to even complain when it happens. The only thing Steam gives you is the right to play a game for as long as they please.

I actually don't care that much about platforms, I use Steam, buy what I can from GOG and I play the games on Origin I got from their exploit. But I never payed for anything on Origin except for Battlefield 3 which I regret. After a week of Battlefield 3, I went back to Bad Company 2, Battlefield 2 and 1942.

Nope, I guess you're just buying stuff where it suits you the most and I don't see anything bad about it. I barely buy stuff outside Steam now because Valve's offer is closest to what I want.

I think the reason I don't buy games in stores, is just because I don't feel like having more boxes/discs to have to store. Also, I like having the convenience of just downloading and deleting games when I feel like. It's nice to have games all lumped on Steam, but I still play other games not on Steam, mostly digital copies (except on Origin, because fuck EA).
