Did you play (and finish) To The Moon?
why not?
i don't like the witcher 1 & 2 (played them got bored)
and i hated Skyrim...
Comment has been collapsed.
I +1 that.
I didn't like any of them games either. In fact I don't really like any RPG.

i love RPG. don't like fps. and that was skyrim. no story what so ever.
witcher i disliked for other reason. it felt unbalanced and repetitive...

i finished Oblivion (160hours for the last save game, probably more in reality). couldn't pass the 20h mark on skyrim.

Me too, tried the 1st and 2nd Witcher couldn't get in to them dunno why.
Comment has been collapsed.
It's normal you haven't liked Skyrim because it sucks. The Witcher isn't "unbalanced", maybe you suck at the game. To the Moon is awesome.
Resuming, it's normal to dislike Skyrim because it sucks but it isn't normal to dislike To the Moon and The Witcher because those are awesome games. Maybe lack of taste/skill to play the games in question?

I have to admit I expected more of the game.
Everyone was saying how beautiful, emotional and sad it was but I don't know, I didn't think it was that good at all.
Comment has been collapsed.
I get why. The gameplay itself isn't very fun. But the story is what made the game for me. And the soundtrack. it's just so emotional!
Comment has been collapsed.
there is no gameplay.
really, nothing. it's basically an idle clicker game. you click the text until it appears no more :)
Comment has been collapsed.
True. There is a slight bit. Can't remember quite what you did but it was something to do with clicking orbs or something. But it wasn't very interesting anyway.

hate over-hype. i learned to always lower the expectations of something people speak highly of for 2 reason:
Comment has been collapsed.
I heard all the hype but I didn't take the hype into account when I played it. Mostly because it was an RPG maker game and I usually find them shit. I think if I had taken the hype into account then I wouldn't have liked it anywhere near as much either.

It's a strong story. think about it like reading a book. one of the better books I've read :)
it was really storing cause certain points which i can relate to. so, yeah, almost cried
Comment has been collapsed.
true. and bad writing (just reread what i wrote, and i couldn't understand what i meant).
it has to be forced. it is still a game. just my 2 cents.

As a game, or just as a thing?
It's not a good game. But it's a fantastic movie/book experience that is slightly interactive. Yeah, some awkward dialogue, but it's emotionally beautiful, creative, and clever.
I can understand not liking Bird Story, but I don't really get it for To the Moon.
Comment has been collapsed.
Well yeah, I mostly was referring to the premise like that. I thought the execution was beautiful, though, so I didn't care that it was predictable. I didn't play the game for the plot twists, I played it for the emotional aspect.

I have it, but I never find the motivation to play it.
I'm not so keen on crying.

I played and finish it a liked it very much. I'm impressed that this was created in RPG Maker.
Comment has been collapsed.
The only RPG maker I have played and finished. Most RPG maker games are trash. But there are a few that are good. I keep meaning to play "Eternal Senia" after seeing your review for it.
Comment has been collapsed.
Eternal Senia Definitely is a good game, considering the fact that it was created using the RPG Maker engine and resources.
And the best part is definitely the fact that it's free. After going through so much crap that gets accepted on Steam and are highly overpriced, Eternal Senia impressed me quite a bit.

really?
spoiler: you saw the part of the pills? and the name thing coming?
how do i do spoiler hidden thingy? tried to be vague

Put a tilde (horizontal wavy line thing) on each end of what you want to use as a spoiler.
Just a test.

~isn't it better to show like this? :/~
isn't it better to show like this? :/

By the time it was revealed properly, yes, I expected something to the effect of the second spoiler. I suppose we just happened to see through the storytelling of the game, and so didn't find it very emotional. As for the first spoiler - I don't know what exactly it means, but the tone of the game set a strong sense of something happening to the protagonists or something being wrong.
We did very much look forward to seeing the game unfold, though. It just wasn't a sad or exceptional experience.

at some points sure. me too, but you made it sound like it was from the beginning... a good story (by my opinion) lets the reader understand just a tidbit more than the char.

I am too much of a robot to make interesting let's plays.
That soundtrack though. Beautiful.

Yup. Great song.
I actually prefer simplicity, so I like the Sarah and Tommy version more.
Unplayable with just one person though, sadly.

I feel like I want to learn the piano just so I can play that song!
But I found this. How about a guitar version?
Comment has been collapsed.
I cried at the same point in the game and cried again watching the video just now. I'm like a leaky tap when it comes to this game. Dem feels.

I think A Bird's Story is pretentious. To The Moon is ok, lovely story, gives you a lot to think about. You can finish it in a couple of hours :D
Comment has been collapsed.
Agree, A Bird's Story is really disappointing, I expected a lot... trivial.

I didn't cry but I came very close to it. The second closest i've come to crying in a game. The closest i've come to crying being just the ending of the walking dead game!

I remember installing and playing it for a few minutes, then going to sleep and starting another game the next day.
This has happened me a few times, I don't really now why do it, when I finally come back to play them months later I'm baffled by my own behavior.

Kind of bombarded your post with replys. like this game, despite everything...
Comment has been collapsed.
Hmm, guess becausee it's 8:30 am is why I had no reactionn to that video =S I have always heard nothing but good stuffs about this game, even bought a copy and left it in my inventory since around a month or so after its releasee and yet to redeem it. Don't think I'll ever get around to experience it either
I will howevever probably givee it to someone whoo would love to play it though (@=

play it.
it has bunnies.
3 hours and you are done. a short story nothing more
Comment has been collapsed.
Played, finished, cried.
The ending was really touching in my opinion :)
Comment has been collapsed.
It's a nice game, but tbh It's a bit overrated
Comment has been collapsed.
Didn't play it, don't intend to. Life is emotional enough already. :D

I didn't cry like her when playing it. But I can understand her. This game is just extremely emotional.
