Steam big picture mode doesnt work

When i try to enter big picture mode it freezes and say bootstrapper.exe stoped responding.

Anyone have a fix for this?

Trying on a different cioomputer it works. so it might be something on my pc. how can i check?

Solved.

Its a notebook.
Nvidia control panel.
Manage 3d elements.
Prefered video adapter: Nvidia
