Hi. I read that you raise your chances of receiving a booster pack of cards every 10 level (At level 10, 20, 30, 40, 50...)

1) Does is mean that from level 20 to 29 there is the same chance to receiving it?

2) Does the "Booster Pack Eligibility" works like this? If I only have 1 game, is like joining 1 giveaway for that Booster Pack, If I have 100 games, is like joining 100 giveaways for each Booster Pack.

1.) I think so.
2.) I think so, but not each "giveaway" will be the same. For example, there will probably be more CS:GO badges crafted than Life is Strange badges.

I wonder the same questions :/ Still don't get how that works

  1. Yes.
  2. No, it works like this: 1 (Game) + Your current level (Let's say Level 20 gives you 2 extra entries) / Total Entries (From all the other users who has booster pack availability of that specific game + their level)

I think
(While writing this reply, I got a booster pack, yay)

I think every time someone crafts a badge for a game that you have gotten all of the card drops from, there is a small chance that you will receive a booster pack for that game (with the chance determined by level). That's my understanding

1: Yes
2: Having many games does not influence your chances in the single raffles, it just increases the amount of raffles you're in. So if you have are Steam level 12, have 800 steam card games and are eligible for a SpaceChem booster pack then you have the same chances as a level 18 Steam user that ONLY has SpaceChem.

Also, I'm pretty sure the increase in drop rate is +10% per full 10 Steam levels. That's PROPORTIONAL though. So if you have a 0.0040% chance at level 9 then at level 10 you'd have 0.0044%, not 10.0040%

Well that's pretty obvious, or everyone would hit level 100 and the market would be flooded with packs :P

Yeah, it should be obvious, but people often mess this up. Especially if the thing that is getting increased is already a percentage.

The drop rate increases 20% for every 10 levels you gain. FAQ

Huh, not sure why I thought 10% then. Thanks for correcting me!

Also, you need to have "0 card drops remaining" for a particular game to be eligible for a booster drop afaik.

For anyone interested I started keeping track of my booster drop rate. No data for account before level 60ish but I did keep track of one of my friends drop rate who is lower level.

Here

Appreciate the data collection, but it's not going to show anything meaningful until someone spends some time analysing the results :P

Haha well it's missing a couple variables anyway but it is a good indication of when I'm getting my next booster. :D

Also I've only pulled 3 foils from all those packs :(

Knowing the foil drop rates I think that's average :)

1) Yes.
2) Of course not. I seriously don't know what kind of logic you'd use to come to that conclusion. Once you own a game and have gained its free drops, you are permanently entered in a chance at a 'drop' for that game every time it qualifies for a drop. This works independently from game to game. I have no idea why you'd think that owning more games would increase your chances within every game.
