Seeing how only now Bethesda decided to say "it wasn't us", it looks like elaborate scheme they took part in, for example to check if they should stick to TES or do Fallout 3 2.

And since first date was 11th, who knows if there isn't something coming our way. Like facebooky mobile game...

Crap, means I have to wait longer for New Vegas 2...the quicker this comes out the quicker it gets handed over to Obsidian.

How dare they toy with our emotions. DO THEY THINK THIS IS SOME KIND OF GAME?

Well fallout & elder scrolls is such a huge thing for Bethesda that they won't give up on the game just versions of it they think won't live up to the grand banner of fun these games have become.

Sounds to me like one site was fake, not the game as a whole. I'm unconvinced they'll just stop making games for a successful franchise, particularly after the reactions to the hoax teaser and other hints at the game.

Dudes, just because the tease is fake doesn't mean that the game is not in development. They surely didn't go through the whole legal dispute with Interplay just to abandon everything. It's most likely being developed by Bethesda Game Studios ever since they finished their work on Skyrim. To avoid confusion, The Elder Scrolls Online is developed by ZeniMax Online Studios, and other incoming games published by Bethesda Softworks are made by other independent development studios (like The Evil Within, for example).

What are you talking about? Fallout 4 is happening this spring.
