Q: What is Steam "Greenlight"?

Steam Greenlight is a system that enlists the community's help in picking some of the new games to be released on Steam. Developers post information, screenshots, and video for their game and seek a critical mass of community support in order to get selected for distribution. Steam Greenlight also helps developers get feedback from potential customers and start creating an active community around their game during the development process.

Remember to VOTE "yes" for the games you would like to hopefully get Steam keys for in the future.

Q: so .. When do I get the Steam keys though?

  • A: You will get Steam keys when 1) The game gets enough Yes votes to become GreenLIT, 2) The dev of the game releases the keys, and 3) The Bundle Site distributes the keys to you

Welp.. At least I didn't have two of the steam games.. But nothing interesting really.. Wait, maybe Ludo because I played that a lot with my father. But it doesn't have achievements though. Meh. Typical 'United Independent Entertainment GmbH'.

But there's a kitty greenlight game!!! Who doesn't love cats :3

Didn't preorder and certainly won't make a purchase BUT I sure hope Miaou Moon -if it ever gets greenlit- will be bundled soon again. It doesn't look like a game I would put many hours into, but I would definitely play for a little while. this totally needs cards... I can't get enough of kitty backgrounds, emotes and badges :3

I was pondering on how, apart from QP Shooting - Dangerous!!, the other Steam games look decidedly worse than the Greenlight titles.
Then I found this comment by Jamesbuc on Reddit:

My suggestion to those who are looking for some cheap gaming? Pick up QP Shooting (sidenote: Originally pulled over
to Groupees for a now cancelled bundle I was curating) and either Miaou Moon or Madrobot X for the $1.
I cant honestly really vouch for any of the others in any form (especially given the publisher of those games. Yikes UIG).

I definitely agree with him, although I'm more inclined towards getting Warriors of Vilvatikta as my second pick.
I'm currently creating an account for possible future uses.

Warriors of Vilv-whatever and Miaou Moon have been Greenlit and Steam keys were added ;)
