I'm giving away my first big game here on Steamgifts in ~40 minutes, and it's really fun to see how excited people are about it in the comments. šŸ˜Š

EDIT: Sorry if my post was confusing, the giveaway ended 40 minutes after I posted this, this was not an announcement for an upcoming one.

Thanks for the Giveaway and the min. level req. :o)

Sadly i must say that more as the half of the comments there are from autojoiners.
I am not allowed to write names but let's say that the most have obvious stats.

Haha yeah there's one guy that I always get a notification from cause he comments on everything. šŸ˜… I don't really understand why people do that.

"People" As Masafor said It's bots/scripts from auto joiners, for public giveaways this is normal.

I know that, but why would they choose to auto comment I mean. You're just kinda outing yourself as a bot then, right?

The autojoining because they are greedy, lazy and often cheat in other ways and on other sites too.

Using the thanks script of the autojoiner, because the most cheaters are not the brightest candles on the cake.
Besides that because they don't care, much too less get catched and punished, and because a "good part" don't see it as something wrong what they do.
I heard explanations like "If they really wanted to prevent it, they would" and "I do it as long as the security measures are so weak".

And in the end you see with the thanks script users only the icebergs top.
Look in your public GAs for the first 20-50 entries and you will see a lot of same names in the most of them. Not from interest at which time or day you do the GAs.
I concentrate my efforts, often, to this 20-50 users that they get a perma suspension (for autojoining, multiaccounting, unactivated wins, double wins etc.).

I tried to report a user that posted the exact same comment at the exact same time on multiple GA's. I watched the timestamp when he/she/it just posted it, there was no way they were joining these GA's as a normal person would. To me that was evidence he was using an autojoiner script. Support closed the ticket without any comments, and the user didn't get punished whatsoever, that's when I decided support doesn't care, it's easier for them to just close tickets.

I know that, at least, a part do what they can with the limitations that the actual rules give them.

The mods can't write a answer text in user report tickets. Not all mods and i like that but it is how it is.
I can understand the frustration when nothing happens and no explanation on top. I have/had that feeling very often.

From my own experience i would say it depends, strongly, on which mod handle your ticket and which category of ticket it is.
Some of the staff members have more experience with ticket category X and lesser with Y and the results show it often.

It is really hard to prove someone use such script. I have two reports waiting in support for recent autojoins who won my giveaways, Online 24/7, but for real person you wait 5 days to activate game.

Thank you! Fingers crossed. I seem to always be a few years behind on games compared to other people so quite a bit of my wishlist goes way back. I haven't even properly played Skyrim yet!
