So I finally was able to grab a USB Drive to throw some DRM-Free games onto. My question is if there is a legitimate way to get a DRM-Free copy of Antichamber, or if I can only get it on Steam. I hate pirating, so that's out of the question. I'd appreciate it if someone could help me. Thanks!

If there was a DRM-free copy available, the official site would probably sell it. It doesn't so it's only Steam.

What Desidiosus said. Or...

  • Get laptop
  • Install Steam and Steam games
  • Profit?

Some people (like me) have DRM free games on an external drive, so we can easily have enjoyable games where ever we are, and even leave some for the poor bastards when we leave. Also, its cheaper than a laptop.

My own drive is already over 10GB of DRM free titles, and still got plenty more from bundles that I haven't downloaded for it.

Ah. Well the only thought that went through my mind was to have them on a flash drive to take them to school. Since he said he was leaving the site because of school.

Yeah, but since I also need this for school, I only put a few DRM-Free games onto it.

I remember the days of me in school. No USB back then, I had to use floppy disks!

Why not use cloud?

I personally loathe cloud usage when the entire entity is on the cloud. It's one thing if whatever it is is saved onto the hardware and is copied to a cloud, by when something is completely on the cloud, that's what I hate. Mainly because one day that cloud will be gone.

In Steam cloud's case, it just copies. But you have to have Steam, still. The whole point of using DRM-Free is no DRM, so no Steam needed.

I only mentioned clod for easier mobility, I don't think many people actually keep anything that even remotely important on just cloud.

Well I don't care what I'm putting on the cloud, still hate it

Because Cloud will require internet access, and not all of the places I take this drive have it at all or just lack suitable internet access.

I finally convinced him that it is possible to limit his time on here and not ruin his life by focusing on games, like I have.

99 times out of 100, when someone makes a thread about "leaving" a forum it's for attention.

It's not hard to stop posting or reading a forum and if they truly wanted to leave, they wouldn't be making a thread about it.

I already have it on Steam, but I consider it illegitimate to copy my files from the Steam version over to the Drive
