This was announced at the end of April and I've picked though the forums with a fine comb and either it hasn't been mentioned or I'm blind as a bat. Do link me up if I am that blind and I'll be more than happy to bump the original thread.

This is super exciting news for PC gamers everywhere, as PC gaming is finally getting the attention it deserves with it's own event for the first time ever at an E3.

Hosted by Sean "Day[9]" Plott, the PC Gaming Show at E3 will feature appearances by Dean Hall of DayZ fame, Cliff Bleszinski of Boss Key Productions, and developers from studios including Blizzard, Bohemia Interactive, Cloud Imperium Games, Tripwire Interactive, Square Enix, Obsidian, Paradox, Devolver Digital and the Humble Bundlers, with more to be announced.

More developers announced for the PC Gaming Show at E3

The newly announced participants include ArenaNet, CCP Games, Creative Assembly, Fullbright, Frictional Games, Frontier Developments, Nexon, Pixel Titans, SCS Software and Splash Damage.
They'll be joining the previously confirmed participants, including Blizzard, Bohemia, Cloud Imperium, Devolver, Paradox, Heart Machine, Square Enix, Tripwire, Humble Bundle, Dean Hall, Cliff Bleszinski and AMD.
If you're keeping track, that means we'll have the developers of everything from Guild Wars 2 and Eve: Online, to Strafe and Euro Truck Simulator 2. How's that for a PC conference?

Microsoft to appear on stage at the PC Gaming Show at E3

"For us, the PC Gaming Show is the ideal place to speak directly to PC gamers, and it’s a great time to talk about Windows 10 - the best operating system we've ever created for gamers on PCs,” Microsoft's Head of Xbox Phil Spencer said. “With Windows 10, we’re bringing the best of Xbox with the best of Windows gaming, including Xbox Live and the new Xbox app, Game DVR for nearly every game, and DirectX 12 for better gaming graphics and performance.”

Phil Spencer interview on why Microsoft is joining the PC Gaming Show

I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on this, especially Microsoft joining in on the show. For me, I've been cautiously optimistic about this. One one hand, I'm completely ecstatic about it, as I'm still holding out hope that the Halo franchise will eventually come to PC. On the other hand, this is a far cry from what Phil stated at last year's E3 as being "a console show.".

All in all it's definitely a step in the right direction. :D

Microsoft want to talk at the PC Gaming show?? Maybe we'll get the long awaited Master Chief Collection on PC!

Wait what? Windows 10 and an.............Xbox App?

Please Valve, release your Steam OS faster so I don't have to deal with this company anymore.

I'm no fan of MSFT, but I don't see their OS market share or developer support being rivaled any time soon :/ And if they bring these xbox games over to PC, why would anyone buy an Xbox?

While I do understand that Microsoft won't be rivaled any time soon, Valve is still really going for it with their Steam OS. I mean, they have the majority of PC players in their pocket already, and the way things are going with greenlight and early access, more and more games are releasing exclusively on Steam. Microsoft can't expect to keep PC gamers forever.

I agree, unless MSFT adapts by reforming their business entirely (highly unlikely). And competition is good -- unless it eventually competes Valve into bankruptcy (also highly unlikely)! And just to be clear, I mean my comments as sympathetic to yours :)

I think I read in PC Gamer that MS is thinking abut releasing XBOX exclusives as PC exclusives too. Hopefully they'll announce that on E3.
