Hello Everyone!

Hopefully all of you had a wonderful Christmas and the remaining holiday season is going great as well.
So, for my account, kinda a special day is incoming. Within the profile section, the whole new text should appear... Yep, January 5th is my 10 years anniversary on this site! Previously, I simple ignored such occasions, but as it is a round number, this time, I was reminded not to ignore and treat it a bit more seriously.

And I didn't ignore it. A train was prepared (everyone loves a train ride, right? :) ). Before the tickets are distributed, a few disclaimers first:

  • 10 is a round number, so, there should be something (at least one GA) for all levels: 0 - 10;
  • At the moment I'm level 9, thus the main concentration is for the first 9 levels. It will be a perfect opportunity to properly start the final level journey;
  • A few region locked games are included. I apologize for that, I did try to get the ROW keys as much as possible, but sometimes, it was not possible. In some cases, I was even misled. For example I really liked the Fanatical "Unknown Region" category, but then, I've noticed that "Unknown Region" could show a specific game as a ROW key, but if you change to a specific country (like Brazil, Russia and so on), it will indicate that a game is region locked. Upon a support contact, it was confirmed that the "Unknown region" category displays a false information and it was completely removed a few days later. So, if you were using that feature, like I did, please forgive me, I might be responsible for its removal :D
  • It is just a random list of games, do not expect anything special. Most users would call it as a pure trash, more or less;
  • All GA's will end at the same time - January 5th, 2022 21:14 GMT/UTC (4:14 PM EST). The exact account registration time, 10 years ago.

Here it goes, Journey starts here! (please be aware that a very basic link adjustment is required).

I'm not really sure how I was introduced to SG, most probably I was just looking for some free stuff. Anyway, somehow I did learn about SG and create an account here. At first, it looked like a scam, because my first win (Grid) was undelivered. Then, that massive Faerie Solitaire distribution appeared and that was my first, officially redeemed, win! Well, it was a massive 25k giveaway, so every single entry was a winner :) It confirmed the site as a legit, at least as a semi legit one :) and the rest is history.
Prior to SG, I was a huge World of Warcraft fan (more than a year in game played time), but SG (as well as Steam) was a massive portal to a different landscape, particularly the Indy games scenery. And boy, it did change everything. There were some many great games and in most cases, I was not even aware about most of them. And bundles... bundles were something out of this world!

Good luck and have a happy New Year!

I share exactly what you think about indie games. I really enjoy discovering some of the nuggets that are out there and it's a shame for some of them that the success is not higher than that.
Thanks for the train! Early congratz for the 10 year here & Early Happy New year!

Indeed, that moment when you found a hidden gem is priceless. And in some cases, it is not possible to tell before you actually play the game. For example, I remember Pony Island. Yes, the reviews are great, but from the store page, it is basically impossible to tell anything about the game. And then, I did play it, my jaw literally dropped and the only reaction was... WHAT?!? :D

I have Pony Island but I haven't played it yet... Hmmm, you're making me curious xD

For me, the indie games that pleasantly surprised me and the first that come to mind are:
For these 3 we know what to expect in the gameplay but they are simply magnificent: Last Day of June, LUNA The Shadow Dust and Omno more recently
And for those that are a bit more mysterious in their gameplay and content, there are Reventure and Minit which also took my breath away
