I have my console mainly to play with some of my console only friends. Many of my real life friends just don't get into PC gaming like I do, so I tend to play PC games with people I've met online, as well as a few select friends I know who actually enjoy PC gaming. For the rest, I play with them on consoles. Don't get me wrong, it's not the only reason I game on the consoles, but it is one of the main reasons.
Another reason, my wife is a huge gamer girl! Rather it's PC or console, she is always wanting to play and with only one gaming PC in the house at the moment, sometimes it's good to have a console to fall back onto. So that's always a plus in my book.

So a year after Overkill first announced this "Next Gen" edition, we finally get an official statement detailing a bit more about what to expect with the re-release. Today, Overkill has announced what all will be included in the Crimewave Editions, as well as posted up a teaser trailer. So far, it sounds like the game will be $49.99 and release June 16th. If you pre-order the game from Xbox Live or Playstation Network, you will get a 25% discount off the price as well as a digital "Hard Times Loot Bag" DLC pack.

Teaser Trailer
Here is a list of everything that is included in the Crimewave Edition.
The original PAYDAY 2 experience, now in glorious 1080p and refined to look its best.
Updates and DLCs worth over $80 in recommended retail value, including the fan favorite The Big Bank DLC, the first female heister Clover as well as the recently released The Bomb DLCs. In total:
The pre-order bonus “Hard Time Loot Bag” contains a number of unique digital items including:
I absolutely LOVE Payday 2 on PC! I was a bit thrown off how they handled the 360/PS3 versions of the game, but do understand just how hard it is to get content put out onto those consoles, as well as some of the archaic terms those systems had for requirements. With Xbox One and PS4 though, I just hope that content will be smoother to get out onto those consoles so those wanting the full Payday 2 experience can get it on the consoles. I know I will probably end up Pre-Ordering the game to get the discount and look forward to the game being launched for the new consoles.
