According to Humble Bundles ToS you can't redeem a key and then redistribute it (as I assume mostly everyone does anyway) instead you're supposed to use the gift-option which generates a link.

Is it OK that when I create a giveaway I mark it as 'key' then paste the giftlink instead of an actual key? I know this might sound stupid, because I'm pretty sure it works but I don't know if it's the correct way to do it or if there's a better way. I dislike adding random people on steam to give links via chat, much better when you don't have to interact with people :P

There's another thread here that asks the same question, but there's no clear answer and it's several years ago so things might've changed. https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/3jzCC/is-it-ok-to-make-giveaways-with-humble-bundle-direct-links

Yes, lots of people do this.

The field accepts the input and recognizes it.
If the link wouldn't have been in an acceptable format, it wouldn't have allowed you to proceed with giveaway creation.

Yep. It works, and on the "create giveaways" page it even says Humble gift URLs are allowed.

Ah, sorry I didn't notice that the disclaimer saying it's OK pop up first after you've selected the 'key' option. Closing thread! Thanks everyone
