Source code is nice if you want it, but those games have always been free.

Not familiar with the first game, but Spelunky Classic was already free btw:

Still, I guess it is nice to have it in one's Humble library. I thought it used to be on GOG as well but I can't find it.

Included on GOG with the paid version.

I thought I either saw it on its own before or linked on the Spelunky HD page as free download with no purchase required. I could be wrong though, my memory is fuzzy on that.

edit: Yep, I have a spelunky_2.0.0.3.exe downloaded that is digitally signed by GOG. I'm fairly sure it was entirely free before and they must have changed it to be a bonus for Spelunky HD.

Seems doubtful it was free, as they won't remove games from your library once you own it. Maybe you mix it up with treasure adventure?

Nah, I'm not confusing the two. I also have that game as well. I have the Spelunky installer in my archive of game downloads and it is specifically from GOG, and I don't pirate games so that is pretty definitive right there. I think what happened was, at one time Spelunky Classic was linked as a free download (locally hosted GOG version) on the Spelunky HD page but did not require owning the new remake. Thus it didn't have its own page and could not be added into your library there. Then at some point they must have changed it so it is now a bonus when buying the new game instead. I don't see how else I would have gotten the installer from GOG.
