Another member had the same problem after winning another one of cg's Dead Island giveaways yesterday.

It's GMG. They sell keys locked to NA (even they are from Europe lol) and fail to mention than anywhere on the game's page. This already happened to cg once, and he bought another game for the winner.

I believe GMG's Dead Islands are not region locked, Amazon ones, however, are. My friend (he's from Poland as well) bought 2 keys, one for me, one for himself from Amazon. I managed to trade this key for Dead Island gift, luckily. He was like 'meh, it's just $6' and bought it from GMG a few days ago.
