Best Rune Factory
RF 3 is still my fav because being a Wooly is fun <3 But I also absolutely adore Oceans/Tides of Destiny. Ymir was such a cool addition and the soundtrack was hella. I'd be lying if I didn't admit all of them shine in some category or other more than the rest. Definitely looking forward to 5. Shame Europe has been getting shafted with eshop-only releases (same for the ace attorney franchise), so when they put 4 on Switch I imported the special edition from the US. Harvest Moon/SoS on the other hand doesn't seem to struggle as much. (I love both franchises, but RF is best.)

Yeah, I think RF3 was my favorite because it was slightly more generic.
RF4/5 have a definitive "setting" that you are expected to operate within.
Looking forward to RF3s, see if it's all that I remember.

I gotta agree with you on a generally more generic setting allowing a few more freedoms in terms of personal pursuits, haha. It's a tough thing to balance sometimes.
And true, gotta see if it lives up to the nostalgia or naw. Revisiting older titles can be especially hard if newer titles made leaps in QoL Improvements that were not implemented in prequel re-releases XD

3 and 4 are still the best. only problems in 4 is memory leaks that they didnt fix from the nintendo DS
got like 2500+ hours in rune factory games, and ive played all of them.

It's a gamble, some games sell for better prices during Japan's Golden Week than Summer sale, but either way the games are worth it <3 (I own them on Nintendo consoles/handhelds primarily but just might be tempted on a good deal to get them for PC too, haha...)
