Hey guys, what is the best idler that will idle up to 30 games at once, get all the trading cards that are available and restart the games every so often?

Thanks,
James.

How many, then? Both idlers can farm multiple games at a time anyway...

I think you can idle 30. But there's no point idling more than one unless your account is limited. If you can get card drops before 2 hours, just idling one at a time is best. If your account is limited, you will only get drops after 2 hours of game time and thus idling more than one for the first 2 hours speeds things up.

You can idle more than 30. I'm not entirely sure if that limit is caused by steam client or idle master itself (too lazy to check), but ASF doesn't have such limitation. It plays as many as needed, according to currently selected cards farming algorithm.

but idling 30 games will do pretty much nothing

It will bump hours, which is crucial for limited accounts - https://github.com/JustArchi/ArchiSteamFarm/wiki/Performance

ASF is using that in Complex algorithm, although it works a bit different than how IM makes use of that. ASF is a bit more efficient, as we immediately stop bumping hours as soon as possible.

with idle master you can idle up to 30 games for 2 hours since valve changed the algorithm for dropping them, after 2 hours you idle them individually to get the cards

I use that for my hours but it doesn't do very well with cards.

idlemaster still works and is pretty good, it has a few occasional hiccups, archi's is decent too but I haven't personally used it as I'm not keen on putting my passwords into a notepad file..

Okay, that is a very good point there.

You don't have to put your password, you can use default value of null and enter login + password combination on each startup.

maybe i'll give it another shot, would be great to idle all my kids accounts and mine at the same time...

I was using IdleMaster until it just outright refused to sign in after a few days of use, so now I use ASF and can't go back. Plus I like having a little Cirno on my taskbar.

IdleMaster if you want an easy-to-use, simple software.

ASF if you need more customization options, also works as a Trade Bot. Slighty harder to set up in my opinion.

I personally use IdleMaster, as I do not need the extra features that ASF offers.

ASF

Well, I coded ASF as IM didn't satisfy me, so my obvious answer is ASF.

And it's not that hard to setup, lots of things changed between V0.1 and current version of 2.0.X.Y. You even have graphical config generator and excellent tutorial + wiki which explains every ASF detail in-depth.

Still use IdleMaster as well and glad it works just fine so far. It is simple and easier in my opinion. Hoping it won't stop working any time soon, as long Steam doesn't change their card drop algorithm. ^^
