I have a feeling that my internet connection is interfering with my parent's internet connection. My mom is directly connected to the router, and my dad is connected wirelessly, as am I. Lately, and it seems just only lately, sometimes when I am playing something like Payday 2, or if I am downloading certain things, it seems to screw up their connection, but I don't understand why, how, or what to do about it other than stop what I am doing. When they do a troubleshoot connection thing, it tells them that their DNS servers are not responding.

Anyone have any info or advice on the situation?

When I say certain things, I mean larger things like games and updates to games.

It seems to persist a while after I stop doing stuff, at least an hour+ at times.

you have one internet connection for 3 pc's, its normal that all will have lags when some1 is downloading something, but you can do a spread connection in router, like if you have 100mb connection, take 50 for yourself, 25 for mom and 25 for dad ^^ or like me, 90 for myself, 10 for mom and dad (they using together)

you must look on google how to do it on your router

Maybe try setting bandwidth to 40GHz. I think most routers default at 20GHz.
