To do this, type a [ followed by the text you want the link to say, then a ], then put the URL you want to link to between ().

An example: say I want to link to www.doodie.com. And I want the link to say "doodieman!"

I'd type this:

[doodieman!](http://www.doodie.com)

Normally that would make a clickable link saying "doodieman!". I added ` marks around that line though, which makes the site interpret it as "code" input, thus not trying to further interpret it as anything other than a string of text (and hence the slightly different font).

Read this page some time, you'll find a lot of cool stuff you can do using markdown syntax.

Stuff

this

example!

"Give a man a fish" etc? I'm sure you know the saying.. Anyway, off to type it out for this guy so he knows how to do it himself from now on.

Oh you're going to love me for this: (I also was the one who tipped off Lina with the Lazarus add-on that recovers form input :D)

QuickDrag

"Extends the function of the drag-and-drop mouse gesture so that it can be used to load URLs, do a web search of selected text on a page, or save an image on a page."

Couldn't be simpler. Click the image on the page to see how it works. No setup or configuration needed. There's a lot of other drag gesture add-ons, but most of them are complicated and need configuration, because they do stuff like directional drag recognition (so you gotta setup what it does for different kind of input, as well as what to do with it in 4 situations - a drag to the left, up, right, or down).

With this, you can triple-click, then click and hold, move a little bit, let go (so 4 clicks ending in a drag). Also useful for saving images fast, or doing google searches fast.

If you want a bunch of other useful non-bloaty add-ons with similar time and effort saving, hit me up on Steam some time, I got a couple others that help out tremendously when doing puzzles, looking up references, etc.
