Best F2P game on steam?

DO NOT PLAY IN F2P GAMES. I used to do it, but irritation became too huge. Non-steam Battlefields are full of cheaters, because game developers can't make their game secure for years. Steam games I saw, was just money-draining machines (like others ofc), which will fuck you over if you won't pay (more than for a normal game).
Probably things got a little better with TF2, but it was boring for me.

I really advice you spending couple bucks for a good game. Just wait until sales and you will get Killing Floor, Left 4 Dead 1,2, etc. for 5€. I just bought Magicka Collection for 3€, Dead Island for 3€, Aliens vs Predator 3,50€, and many, many more games for such low prices.

TF2 is by far the best F2P. Steam or otherwise. SMNC is good too, although it's got its problems. Dota is bad.

Spiral Knights is nice if you get into it. Spent some hours playing it and pretty enjoyed. Team Fortress 2 of course. I don't know why everybody cries about Mannconomy, there're still many people on non-trade servers so you can just ignore it (I trade sometimes, but only if I want something badly but I don't use real money. Only in-game items). Alien Swarm is nice enough to be non-f2p game, but it's f2p, so it's even better.

TF2 is awesome, but soon you'll desire all the hats and stuff and will end up spending a dollar to become premium.

LotRO is amazing but you'll end up spending money to buy the expansions (quest packs/etc are cheap enough so you can just farm points to buy them instead)

ARMA 2 FREE?
Basically just download the demo on ARMA 2, its not really a demo. Its like a free version with reduced graphics and sound, no mod support, but you get the full complete multiplayer experience free and the editor as well.
