Don't trade with him, he got 2 people here and keeps doing it. Probably someone has stolen his account.

Please check the profile of the person you are trading with as well as the profile of the person that the rep belongs to.
Make sure the URLs are exactly the same.
Most traders with lots of positive rep will NOT have a private profile.

Someone has already posted that this individual is being impersonated. link.

...as you said in his feedback, it wasn't actually him.

Never trust someone else's links if it's about rep and the links, about proving trustworthiness.

Go to their profile, copy the profile url, and run your own check in the appropriate places.
Steamrep, sourceOP, whatever else is relevant.
Their Steam profile alone should already provide some info as to what they're worth; age of the account, number of games, number of friends. Things like that. If any of them is very low, or they're hidden, it's generally a no-go.

sigh

I have never scammed anyone. It was an impersonator, yet it seems that I'm usually the one being blamed. :(

Check my Steamtrades feedback (look down the bottom for other ST users commenting about me being impersonated), any of the numerous threads on Steamrep and Steamtrades, or these profiles of known impersonators.

Considering a lot of the feedback he's got is from know good traders, including myself, I think it's safe to assume that it's all legit.

Lol, what did you do to deserve this? I mean, you don't even have that much of a positive rep on SteamTrades...

It appears poor Detruire deserves an apology. How many people have impersonators that scam people? Even Yatterman did before he retired from SteamTrades. It's quite sad, but people really need to pay more attention.

No, he's got an impersonator. If people took 2 seconds to click the "View steam profile" link in the Steamtrades profile, they'd realize they're not talking to the right person. I was impersonated too, fortunately I was able to explain things to the victim and he removed his negative feedback when he saw that my profile and the scammer's profile where different.

There's already a thread on Steamtrades warning about the impersonator.

Alright. This ends here. Get your damn facts straight. Detruire is a victim of impersonation. Second, don't call out users. Lastly, check your facts THOROUGHLY and then report the issue to support. Thread closed.
