Valve recommend using Ethernet with it, while the device includes Wifi AC. That makes a lot of sense, until you find out it is Fast Ethernet 100mbps

You're streaming, not transferring huge chunks of data over the steam link so 100mbps is perfectly fine.

Well if you plan on buying a new TV soon ^^

So far only the newest Samsung have the apps installed (as far as I know), but I guess it's going to be a lot more in like 1 or 2 years.

I already have a new Samsung tv, but I didn't know about the app yet. I downloaded the app onto my tv today and I tested it a bit for a few minutes and it has about the same performance as if I use the steam link, so I really don't need the steam link anymore. it's great to have less hardware in the living room and one more free network jack that I can use for something else in the future.

You can refund the game, I did it and the link is still in "shipping" status, I felt a bit guilty tbh, but steam link for ~13€ here

I'm thinking about doing that as well :D. 26,19€ in total, here in Romania. Still, does the Steam Link worth it? I'm thinking they are doing this bundle just to clear their inventory of the Steam Link to make some place for the new Steam Link.

Steam TOS says you can only refund whole bundles.

Most likely you will either never recieve the Link or be forced to send it back, while getting the whole package refunded. Guess with Hardware the automated process just sucks a bit.

Thats the automated process. But well you are free to try. Maybe it slips through, maybe steam cancels the link and maybe it gets delivered and you need to send it back.

I guess how steam reacts depends on how desperatly they want to get rid of that hardware.

I thought of that, but it wouldn't be worth the 15€ for me either.
I wouldn't use it that much. It would've been an awesome toy to mess around with. But a 15€ investment's a pretty big investment for me :/
