Last I checked there was a region lock on some steam gifts from Germany but haven't seen one in a long time. Also if a feature is indeed made why not allow us to check which countries it works in case they add new ones so default 4 types of restrictions then have a 5th option to manually pick them in case it's a new one.

All Steam games I buy from Steam since last December are restricted to Latin America, which is your region currently listed as #2
Please tell me you're going to add region-lock-gifting with some sort of filter or disclaimer in the near future :D

This is pretty clear, restricted to Latin America:
I recently activated a CDKEY for Frozen Synapse, and it gave me an extra gift in my inventory.
That gifts only shows a message: "This is a restricted gift which can only be redeemed in certain countries."
Doesn't mention which countries...
When trying to add to library it shows it's restricted to Latin America.

That's a good way to test your gift. All extra copies that drop in your inventory have this tag (Restricted, but with no mention of what country) I have 2 games like that in my inventory, but when I try to add them I have no message. (I do have one if I try to add a restricted gift) I guess since I'm in Canada, I get non-restricted extras but the tag is still there for some reason.

As you are not in a "locked zone" I think this gift with restriction should activate fine worldwide. Before Steam fixed the extra gifts I had pseudo-locked extra gifts from Age of Empires II HD 4-pack that could be activated anywhere.

If you have a gift that's region locked, please share a screenshot of the countries it's restricted in. I'd like to make a simple list of the different regions in case we add a feature to allow them in the future. Thanks!
