When it was released there was a server routine check being made, and it was removed from the store for a few minutes.
The dev didn't liked and death threat Gaben on twitter.

Dev has been kind of unstable for long time. When game got out of early access and landed on front page it still showed as early access for many people, including the dev. That made him/her/it go crazy and post on twitter that he/she/it will kill Gabe. Game was pulled from Steam almost immediately and that dev has no more future on steam.

It's not a new/additional game for your libraries, it's the one you already owned which just got renamed (and is now again being sold on steam). Just sayin. No new card drops :-/

Edit: In fact I just did another search and there is just one more topic with the header, and it was a really old one with the death threat story. I don't even see any on the front page. So I don't know what are you talking about.

When the game first got banned, I'd seen cards selling for as much as $7.
So, is the old game a collectible now? Or is it identical to the re-release?

I think he's right, seems like the logical thing to do, they just changed from publisher and throwed in a few more thing (new gun, map, etc) so Valve will forgive them |for the high treason that is threaten Gaben life, HERESY!

So some of you might remember that around October 21st last year Paranautical Activity was pulled from steam because of a "death threat" on twitter.
Well, that game is now back on steam under a new publisher, and It seems that old owners of the game get upgrade for free to the "Paranautical Activity: Deluxe Atonement Edition" Version that is released today, Friday 13th.
I'm happy to report that this is my case, I owned the game back then and was kinda shocked by the new of it being pulled off steam, but also reporting that I am getting the upgrade since it already downloaded from steam the update.
Anyone else getting upgrade?
