Good game, but too much focus on Batmobile was a mistake, imo. Also it got worst boss fights in entire series.

I agree, the batmobile was cool, but it wasn't better than flying across Arkham City with the grappling hook. Boss fights, especially the batmobile stealth sections, were terrible. I think Arkham Knight's main issue was thinking bigger is better. City is still the best in the series, because it was more focused with better story and side content.

it's a common mistake, especially in movie sequels, but also in games, that creators think bigger is better, and instead lose focus. A great example is Batman & Robin, with 2 villains and 3 heroes, but no characterization for any of them. see also Suicide Squad, where the studios decided to cut the character development in favor of more explosions

i recently started replaying the whole series but took a break before starting arkham origins. i'm a huge fan of them all though..i pre-ordered arkham knight so i had to deal with the shitty optimizations, though nvidia's day one drivers did at least make it playable. the games are a nice twist on the classic metroidvania genre, given an extra dimension to play in.

its a way to say. i play all of them. for my, the 3 better ones are Arkham Asylum, Arkham city and akrham knight, as a main trilogy, and origin and blackgate are like an spin off

In my opinion Arkham Knight is good but it feels like there's two games in there fighting for the spotlight, I think the Batmobile has some nice ideas that deserved its own standalone game where they could be explored in full without having to compete with the machanics and narrative inherited from the other Arkham tittles, specially because the other three made it better.
Asylum still is the bast in my mind, the metroidvania-esque progression and map really suit the style of gameplay. City is really good but there's way too much stuff, to the point that the story just blurs together in my memory. Origins has the strongest narrative of the whole series and it really makes you feel like you're the Batman but the jank is omnipresent, so many collision bugs, weird animations, and braindead AI.
I'll probably replay Knight at some point since I don't own the DLC on Steam but I heard they added it to the free version that Epic gave away, I'd just need to transfer my savefile somehow.
