I know this is a troll thread, and I'm going to respond anyways...

Asking which is better, X, or Y, on a webpage dedicated to users of X... Honestly?

Of course we're going to prefer Steam, we all are here because of our affinity for Steam.

You can't write someone off as a troll just because their opinion is different to yours.

Origin is worse than Steam in all areas except one: You can turn off owned DLC with Origin while still playing the base game*, while Steam forces you to run all the DLC that you own.

*Even if you have to uninstall the game, then redownload the parts you do want.

Orgin is acceptable in all other areas, except the advertising popup that spawns every time you start Origin. A popup you can't turn off, unlike Steam's popup.

Most games allow you to use DLC separately.

Not in Steam.

What do you mean? Most games have the option in game to use DLC or not, or sometimes it is a separate download.

In Steam, if you already have a dlc, you can't disable it.

That isn't what I said though. I said the GAME usually allows you to use it separately.

And I already said, in Steam, you can't use it seperately. Take SR3 as an example and you'll see.

You can with some though. Deus Ex: Human Revolution – The Missing Link is a separate download for example.

EA has crappy games. There is literally no reason for me to even touch Origin.

lol that poll is funny..

After I answered 96% of the people tagged Steam as their Favorite software from thst list... but 16% tagged Steam as their least favorite .. That means about 12% of the people answered Steam to both answers. Contradiction ?? o.O

Also 50% tagged Origin as their least favorite where only 20% tagged Uplay as their least favorite. Wow the EA hating is strong. Personally I think Uplay is worse than Origin, I don't think Origin is that great but it works and just tries to copycat the good aspects of Steam, also they have fast support (chat) where Steam can take weeks to even look into something. I hate Uplay because every game I own that uses Uplay has it's own version of Uplay .. all different looks and only useable for that one game, kinda dum.

I would say I use origin, but don't exactly like it. it is either the only or best option for some of my games, but I prefer steam.

A game key I put in didn't process properly. I notified Steam support about it.

They haven't even responded to say that they're looking into it yet.

That was a week ago.

If you remove the variable of some games only being available on origin, I don't think anyone would prefer origin over steam, ever.

Never had any problems with Origin, except for the ridicilously slow download speeds. I'm good with both.
