DRM Platform made by valve in honor of SteamGifts I think. That is why it's call Steam, as in Steam from SteamGifts.

Steam simply has so much more than Origin, it's not even a question who is better. However, Origin is not as bad as most people make of it, I use Origin and I don't have any complaints, it doesn't even come close to Steam but its a decent DRM platform on its own.

EA should give up; Steam is the clear winner. Move everything to a single delivery system so that all games are available and all achievements for all games can be earned in a single profile.
It is BS for example that none of the Ubisoft games have achievements in Steam, but yet are available.
UPlay and Origin need to give up and move to Steam!

That's like asking one million blow jobs or one million kicks in the balls.

Well, if I am the one GIVING the blowjobs/kicks.. I'll take the latter. :P

No idea about Origin support but Steam support is a pile of crap, that is a reality. I had a really weird issue with a game which would not download yet steam would say the game was installed and r eady to play (failing when trying to start because of mnissing .exe). Not only Steam support took 2 weeks to even answer but they fix only killed my steam, got the solution on the forums of the game and it was a steam issue.

Instead you have to wait for a live support person to become free. I had a small problem that I tried to contact EA support over during the Sim City launch. A problem that could have easily waited a week or more for a reply through email support.
But with Live Support as the only option (or at least the only one they don't hide), I was looking at an hour long wait. A wait where I couldn't do much else, as I'd have to keep track of my place in the queue.
Live support is fucking horrible. Even if you can stand the queue, there is no guarantee that the person on the other end knows anything that could help.
So I don't see this as a win for EA.

Origin is flippn crap, I didn't even thought this would ever be a question.
Steam support might really need it's time but at least their support wont ban your account.
Go read some topics around origin, accounts getting banned because of a single swear word(One dude got banned because he quoted some dudes post which had a swear word in it). Even if it's a forum ban, you get your gaming account banned too and you can't even play your origin games in single player.
Nor that you ever could, the only games even remotely good on origin have to have a connection otherwise they don't let you play it anyway.

The answer's obvious but then, Origin isn't even the worst thing out there, now Uplay, that's a right mess, Origin is kinda okay.

Origin is spyware? :O I'm not defending them but can you at least back that up please? Because I actually have Origin installed and own 8 games on there. Also if it's illegal in Germany how do people there play BF3 etc? If you're gonna make statements like that at least show solid evidence lol.

I see, so the guy getting all angry seems to have a more personal beef with EA & Origin because even this past Spyware, doesn't seem particularly harmful.

You AGREE to those Terms of Use and Agreement. Therefore, be quiet. European laws aim to protect customers; if you aren't happy with your purchase's Terms of Use and Agreement then you can always ask for a refund after declining.
If you agreed to the terms of use and agreement recently then look at the information on the link below and within a specific timespan you can call up support, cancel your contract and if possible pursue a refund.

Actually, you can use their service just fine. It's not illegal and it doesn't matter if you agree with the terms. If they're breaking any local laws then they can't force the agreement on you.
That doesn't make Origin illegal, though. The agreement just doesn't mean anything.

In response to EA being voted one of the worst companies in America, do you like Origin over Steam?
