well i'm in that situtation right now..my family literally just left for florida..although i'm not even remotely afraid of anything other than maybe a burglar but that's just because i live way back in the woods and nobody would hear me screaming my head off like a little girl if something went down. But in all seriousness..the best thing to do. would be to face your fear. stay at home alone and don't be scared over every little thing you hear/see. keep it together. sometimes your worst enemy is your imagination and the inticipation of something actually happening.

Or we can help him face his fear by dressing up in black and showing up at his house. Too far?

already been done
But its good to know if you'd totally crumble in that situation so you can try not to in future. do that and you're dead as she just learned. gotta keep it together and fight. So really she should be thanking him.
or run away to fight on more favorable ground like in the home alone movies if you're able to(she wasn't).

Just play games- with enough immersion all fear will go away (well unless it's a horror game). You just can't feel scared if you're busy blowing stuff up at the time. ;)
Or alternatively do something else... anything. Doing nothing is how fear usually starts, so... yeah, just do something to distract yourself from it. :D

Actually I recommend playing Condemned or Cry of Fear.
I used to be scared of everything, but these games are like a fear antidote!
Hope I helped.

or car batteries and deadfalls like homealone 3.
Remember how humorous it was when that guy was electrocuted and burned holes in all his cloths? or was tricked into fleeing across a thinly frozen pool and got tangled in the cover trapped under the ice? Or when the other one got set on fire? And that nasty fall down the stairs? Or that one thing with the spikes? Or the lawnmower? the bomb?
These things aren't lethal at all, just funny and effective.

Don't forget rigged doors, tripwires, and slippery traps.

I stayed alone but sometimes I'm afraid that something bad will happen like burglars, fire or even an earthquake. Any advice on getting over this phobia?
