The kinds of stuff you would be more likely to find on an old VHS tape than a DVD. 80s and 90s stuff. A certain movie put me in a retro mood.

Already grabbed Labyrinth, its a true classic and should be in every collection. Also, my flatmate never watched it, so I need to make him do so.

It.

Its a very 90's horror mini series, not sure how much you are into that genre though, but it was very... horrorific (is that a word) back then... well i was a kid though so not sure how would it fare nowadays though :P

tell me about it, i was terrified of clowns for ... weeks. If it werent for my selective memory and my ability to forget stuff quickly ... being dumb has its benefits :=)

seriously now, its probably because i was very young when i watched it and as it is with most kids you kinda forget stuff a few days after it happens and replace it with newest fun/scary stuff that happened. Maybe if i was a bit older, id still be... not so clown friendly? :p

It was getting a remake, however the project is on hold and may be on hiatus for quite a while. The director wanted to film in New York, the Studio did not. They have parted ways.

More@ Ain't It Cool News on the story here.

It's too bad I really was looking forward to this 2 part movie and the adaptation that Fukunaga would bring to IT.

EDIT - Gremlins news here

Stay Tuned rating on idmb John Ritter and Eugene Levy [american pie guy's dad] in this movie u will see so many references and i really think many people should really see this comedy

They Live rating on idmb
despite its lack of storyline the overal concept of this movie + the way they presented this movie i rlly liked it [alien looks and hidden messages :P]

Big Trouble in Little China Imdb another john carpenter movie

Highlander

Addams Family shame raul julia died

Little Shop of Horrors

Braindead {1982}

I am a big fan of Monty python so if u can apreciate their kind of humor than i would suggest watching these

The Meaning of Life
Life of Brian

cant forget the majority of the Stephen king movies such as Running man The Stand and many others

besides these i really liked the older Jackie Chan movies wich featured Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao if u remember any of those as well i would suggest checking This List

I guess my problem with The Running Man was the King connection...the novella was completely unrecognisable in that movie, which was a shame because the original novella would make for an epic movie, maybe even a New Trilogy Style treatment like Twihard and Hungry Games got...

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Dwayne Johnson is not a bad choice really, the joke in the original movie is that Jack acts like a badass but in reality he is the sidekick.
Then again, i dont think that people who do this movies have seen the original, both remakes for the thing and the fog were crap, so im not expecting anything from them

Yeah, it's just too bad that a legit dvd copy of Begotten will cost you about $150 opened. I'd love to have it in my collection, but the director wasn't satisfied with that transfer and is currently looking into Bluray.

I'd cherish a VHS version far more than a DVD or Bluray one, that'd probably be even more expensive though. My movie collection is not as wide as my vinyl collection, but I'm definitely looking to expand it, Begotten would indeed be a nice grab.
