Where will this bundle leave you?
There is, but you don't miss much. It's got linear but visually sparse levels filled with crates. You can use Obelix only in a few select situations. The base gameplay is fun enough but the inputs for some special moves are an hassle, and anyway it's worth saving helmets to buy just the only necessary one for the crazy final gauntlets, the Tornado. It gets repetitive pretty fast.
XXL2, even if it was originally released only 18 months after the first, is a massive improvement in setting, visuals, gameplay, variety and overall fun. Its big flaws are the boss fights (almost inexcusable because they could have so much inspiration, with all the videogame references strewn out there) and the overall low difficulty level.
This remaster finally adds the ability to play in two (originally you could just switch between Asterix and Obelix), and changes the illustrations from being unocked with collected helmets to being found exploring the environments. Originally, you had to grind a lot just to get the last few pictures. It should also have selectable difficulty levels now.

Awesome bundle. Bought it. I see it as buying Asterix & Obelix XXL 2 and getting a bunch of bonus additional games. Well worth it.

Yeah, so I bought all of these Fanatical bundles this week. They're all pretty decent, and I needed to refill my giveaway pool of keys. Now I just need to get motivated to make giveaways for all of em.

Another great bundle, but sadly not for me, because I have brought the Asterix & Obelix XXL 2 (for GOG) & own several other titles. I remember when Extinction came out, & looks very interesting, but for value it's not worth it to buy only for that.
