they both look cool, I would probably get Darkwood, and pick up project zomboid when i had more money.

Darkwood looks to be by far the better game, even in it's pre-alpha state it's got the atmosphere and tension nailed. If it had co-op or mutliplayer, I would instabuy it as it looks to potentially great fun with some friends.

Project Zomboid doesn't really inspire me as much, although as you say, it does have multiplayer so again, playing with people you know could ultimately give you way more fun and replayability.

If you have people you know who will buy Project Zomboid and play with you, go with that. If you're more a solo player, go with Darkwood. I'd suspect that if Darkwood does commercially well, they'd probably release Darkwood 2 with multiplayer.

I would go for Darkwood. but since you tend more to multiplayer and got a friend that would buy and play with you, better go for Project Zomboid 1st.

I'd play Darkwood if there was a Riddick mod or night vision. I don't like not seeing everything.

Darkwood succesfuly created all the horror elements they intended to, it's atmosphere is waaay better than Project Zomboid's, but that's just my opinion.
In my opinion, Project Zomboid is more Action and Survival than Horror.
So I'd go with Darkwood, yet considering Project Zomboid is pretty glitchy and repetitive. Plus, I ain't interested in the co-op.

I didnt know about Darkwood. That constant feeling of being hunted with no safe harbor and eerie atmosphere sold the game to me. But if I had to choose I would choose both, because they are both excellent games.

Edit: To answer your question I would go with Darkwood.

Has anyone bought Project Zomboid? Just been watching videos of it and thinking about whether to take the plunge. It seems there'll be ongoing development for the foreseeable rather than a concrete release date.
Any experience with? opinions on the game?

i think project zomboid is better, especially that you can use zombies from pretty much any movie

Project Zomboid probably, just because it has a bigger community supporting it. The main problem is that the devs are quite.. messy

I've been waiting for Project Zomboid since January last year.
