billions of entrys and only a couple of comments

Meh, I'd rather people just enter and not say anything than some generic "thanks/thank you" It's nice and all but they don't need to thank me. Though I do like the occasional comments with some humor in them.

Wow this threads turns into a "who's the bigger smart-ass" contest
Everyone has his own rights how he feels about a nice gesture. Some are just lazy, others just ignorant and others just happy to see thankful people.
Oh and this is steamgifts.com , not a bank,lottery, class room or any other (my opinion) dumb examples you people post.

For every poster I see that whines that not everyone thanks them, there are an equal number of people whining about empty feelings and forced 'thanks'. I comment when I have time or if someone posts an interesting description etc.

I'd rather read well thought out posts about the game then just one word spammed over and over. Its nice to see people appreciative of your giveaway, but its also nice to read more then just one word.

However I do think it is common courtesy to catch the gifter after receiving the game and offer him thanks and if possible maybe even play the game together a little bit.

No way in hell I gonna take the time to read 1000+ thankyous if im giving away a gift. Just knowing the reciepient is grateful is enough for me. I would rather see actuall comments and discussion about a giveaway rather than 1000+ thank yous. although a simple ty post doesnt hurt either.

Thank you i enterd 100 other entries most likley i enterd your giveaway cause the game might be fun, but i dont count on actually winning it..

Also if someone got a question or something they want to say it gets drowned in useless Thank you posts.

No sense in crying about not getting hundreds of :thank you,thanks,thx,ty or other variations.
I dont comment on giveaways either cause I dont see the sense in saying thank you all the time but when I do I try to say something else than simple thanks. If you get one comment in a giveaway with bilion entries with only one comment that is longer then 4 words and that isnt spam of thank you's you should be more than happy about it.

I find myself commented on giveaways that I already have, saying how awesome the game is, more than I do, commenting on giveaways that I enter.
