Serious issues with connecting to steam servers.

Hi, my name is Max.

I have been having strange connection problems the last week and it has been due to steam forcing me into offline mode when I start. I've not set this to be a standard.
When I try to 'Restart and go online' it takes me to offline mode again.
Then I try and loggout and in again. This is where it gets weird, it closes the client and tries to reopen. But since I didn't have the 'remember my password' checked in, steam no longer remembers my password. And gives me a screen telling me I can't start steam until I have connected to steam servers.. (I think to my self, wasn't that what I just tried doing?)
The day before I played a new game and this morning I had the urge to continue playing. So I went to the Internets and tried finding solutions, unsuccessfully I tried what usually works. Uninstalling and re-installing.
Uninstalled and downloaded client, installed client. Patch client? No.. that requires internet, which you have none of. (clearly)

Story of a game addict, being refused my daily share of games.
Steam, you're a bastard. Fix your shit so I can get my fix please.
