Maybe wait for the big sales, you'll get more bang for your buck.
Grim Dawn and Blazblue look nice to me, but unfortunatey you lack a few $ for those.

I'd start with these

Go! Go! Nippon! ~My First Trip to Japan
Crystals of Time
Tomb Raider III
The Campaign Series: Fall Weiss
Shadowgrounds
FATE: Undiscovered Realms

Hmm, free and bundled, other than maybe Fall Weiss and Fate.
Same steam key works for any platform, right?
Could probably get most of those really easy [by trades/gifts], without having to dip into wallet.

Papers, Please, FTL, Tales of Maj'Eyal and Legend of Grimrock come to mind, but as said above - wait for the summer sale.

What would be a low end computer in your opinion?

Well, I got an old Toshiba Satellite with an E250 and just 2GB Ram. Currently running that one on Linux.

You can actually play a lot of the old titles on it using wine, as long as there is a decent support for it. If it comes to games I played as Linux version so far, I got pretty good results with X-Com - Enemy Unknown and Starbound, which surprisingly runs even better on Linux as it does on Windows 7.

I ended up playing a lot of Visual Novels on that one, which do work pretty well on Linux itself or at least have no problems with wine at all. Are you looking for a certain genre or are you up for anything that might run?
