Are you sure it's not the other way around? Isn't Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms unfinished and the content in Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms is included in Shadows: Awakening?

What he is saying is that if you bought Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms you get the two games in your account instead of one. When you activate S:HK you also get S:A.

The content of HK might be in A, but buyers of HK get both games; activating / buying Heretic Kingdoms, you "waste" any Awakening you already own.
For some reason, only buyers of HK get the depots for Korean, Traditional Chinese, Japanese language options. As I don't own the games, I can't check what that is about.

Yes. And? I was clearly talking about it story-wise, not package-wise. What's the point in getting HK if you already own A? What a person who does not own either may understand from madjoki's comment is that they should skip this bundle and get HK instead because it has both, however, if they do not care about the +1 they are missing a chance to get this one very cheaply.

The lowest Heretic Kingdoms has ever been on steam was 6.99 euro, 5 years ago. I don't think it's worth it for a game than you can basically get for 0.66 cents (or less because it has cards). Also Awakening is a remake of Heretic Kingdoms, so you'd be getting the same game twice for ten times the price (or more).

Wow how the Killer Bundle has changed..
For the longest time this was like the Premiere bundle for them. There was normally 10 games that either were all unbundled or maybe one or two that were bundled and almost all of the games had very positive reviews.
I will say that Torchlight, Torchlight II and One Finger Death Punch 2 are good games I've enjoyed.

What people consider crap and filler vary from person to person.
The first Killer Bundle launched back in 2015, so these have been around for 5 years currently. During the launch time of each bundle the majority of games weren't repeats as I mentioned most of the time the whole bundle had 0 bundled games or 1 or 2 here and there. Same goes for "Older games', looking back at a lot of them now, yeah of course they are older but at the time of the individual bundles a lot of the games either came out that year or a year or two difference.

Weird to see Torchlight 1-2 in fanatical's flagship bundle in 2020, but afterall, they are good games and the price is super low. ( I may even get TL2 for easy steam coop...) unsure about Shadows: Awakening, and OFDP2 should be good, but haven't played even the first one yet.

Hmm. Already have F1 2019 through Humble, and I have both Torchlights on multiple platforms already. But I have had my eye on Shadows:Awakening for some time, and OFDP2 looks decent. At this price, I might pick it up and use the others for GAs.
Agree with many of the others that this is a pretty weak way to kick off Bundlefest, though. Not making me optimistic about what else is coming.
