So I checked !LABrpgUP! https://store.steampowered.com/app/870990/ , and sure enough, "Steam is learning about this game", as expected. As announced this was supposed to mean that the number of achievements is limited to 100, but this game has 2021 ...

... what's up with that? Anyone know?

Well, as I understood this devs could set up more achievements, but they won't work as long as it's in learning state. However, I just tested the game and got more than 100 achievements. I was also able to add the game to my showcase, so maybe their changes didn't work retroactively. Β―\_(ツ)_/Β―

They can't assign more than 100 achievements to the game. The reason this has more is the achievements were set up prior to the games release and the implementation of the new limits. The same happened when the 5000 max achievement limit was first introduced. There was still a couple of games that either released with more than 5000 or appeared to add more after the limit.

So with the learning status for games released or configured prior to the change, they only achieved API issues. Great, Valve. :D
