think it was Macross, the 80s one, it was kind of freaky to watch it really young because theres a lot of romance in it, not porn, i mean love triangles and that stuff, i watched all the Macross since then and loved them all, expect the last one, went too highschool jpop for the taste :,v

It was probably Inuyasha when it was on Toonami, Then Sailor Moon and Dragonball Z

Does M.A.S.K. count as anime? I was a fan when I was a kid. .
I must admit I'm not a fan of any anime series though some friends made me watch some episodes of different series because I would love them they said. They were wrong. Sry, cant remember the names.

I do own some anime movies on DVD which I kinda like: Akira, Howl's Moving Castle, Grave of the Fireflies and Ghost in the Shell. I havent touched them for many years.

Pokemon --> Digimon ---> Beyblade --> Yugioh

Pokemon... ;3 And a couple of years later Death Note. Now I'm like knee-deep in anime and watch about one short series a week.

I would say Pokemon, but back then I was too young to recognize it as something different than e.g. Tom & Jerry.
The first title I've watched knowing the term "anime" was Shaman King. I still love it, now I only have to wear nostalgia goggles to watch it without cringing from time to time ;D

The first one I can clearly remember is Dragon Ball (when Goku was still a kid).

There was also an obscure Wizard of Oz anime I can only vaguely remember long ago. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz it was called.

for sure something like dragon ball z, saint seiya or pokemon but as far as watching anime KNOWING what anime is, the first one was sakura card captor, a friend of mine asked me to download it for him arg arg piracy free and i ended up watching it

Eh... Saint Seya probably, I remember watching it when I was 4 or 5. I also watched Speed Racer when I was really young.
Heck, I've been watching Dragon Ball from episode one when it started airing in my country around '96 all the way to GT and now Super (but I never cared for the manga, movies or games ).
