It's not points that increase slower, it's lack of bundles, so people put less giveaways.

I wouldn't know since my points tend to always stay at 300.

I've noticed it too, and it seems weird with all the bundles going on. Groupees, IndieGala, Bastion from the HIB, and even Bundle Stars. All the while it seems like fewer giveaways are being made. I'm a little surprised that more things aren't being given away, but I'm guessing once the Indie Gala Happy Hour happens there will be loads of giveaways for those things.
