Could my PC handle something like XCOM: Enemy Unknown or Fallout: NV? It's a laptop, which makes me giggle a bit too, but I have to make do with it.

You should be fine on playing Fallout NV, and XCOM on high-mid to high range.

What the heck are you guys smoking? Mid-to-high on XCOM with a fairly terrible laptop CPU and GPU?

Go Medium settings and hope it doesn't lag in XCOM, but you'll probably need to turn down 1-2 settings (like shadows) to get ideal performance.

Another question, what about Arkham City or Sleeping Dogs?

Low-mid on Sleeping Dogs, and about the same on Batman: Arkham City. They will play decent I would think.

9 months ago I was using a laptop for all my gaming, and it was a pain in the ass (despite having decent specs). Since buying a proper PC, life has gotten so much easier for me :P (that's my advice to you)
