Those 2 look old.
Idk about Stardew Valley being dungeon crawler, but gonna play it soon or later. xD

It has elements of dungeon crawling. There's literally a dungeon with levels and enemies for you to fight. That's where you mine stuff.

Didn't know it, thanks for the information. Thought Stardew Valley was more like an old styled farming simulator. It has some epic reviews, so that's why I wanted to give it a try. (97% positive out of more than 35k)

Dungeons of Dredmor looks sad, will try out Unepic tho.

dungeons of dredmor have very interesting humour.
like skill descriptions
Corpse explosion
This spell makes corpses explode! Who doesn't like exploding corpses? Pretty much everyone, actually.
Defensive bash
Sometimes the best defense is to hit the other guy really hard on the head with your shield. Deals a large, crushing impact to an enemy, perhaps stunning them. Damage scales to your Stubborness.

A few Dungeon Crawlers I enjoy, not sure how heavy they are but they look pretty low end:
The Enchanted Cave 2
Bit Dungeon II
Bit Dungeon+
Deep Dungeons of Doom
Dragon's dungeon: Awakening
Sproggiwood
Different kind of dungeon crawlers:
Dungelot: Shattered Lands
Dungeon Journey

Enchanted Cave looks like some mobile game back into 2005.
Already tried Bit Dungeon, - bad controls and hard to navigate:

Have not tried Depp Dungeons of Doom yet, guess I'll give it a shot.
Didn't like Dragon's Dungeon: Awakening; - was lazy to give it a review tho.
Sproggiwood looks same as the last one.
Don't know about last 2. Thanks for the suggestions very much!

Looks epic, but won't be able to play it on the PC I'm using.

Enter the Gungeon needs core2duo, which I do not have unfortunately. T_T Won't be able to buy PC til September, so gonna have to rely on this one for a few months.

It will run, yes.
I got Dungeon of the Endless in my library, looks same, if you reccomend, I'll but FTL.

Core2Duo is a CPU series that came out in 2006, before even Windows Vista was released. How old is your PC?
Comment has been collapsed.
My PC exploded 3 months ago and due to some personal reasons, I won't be able to get a new one til September.
This potato I'm using is at least 10 years old, but I think CPU was changed after some times. It had Core2Duo series, but it has older one now. :(

Take a look at these, I played and enjoyed them, personally :)

I owned Runestone Keeper year ago and I still have no idea why I removed it from my account. T_T

Can I get back game which I removed a year ago? 0.0 if yes, I'll be veery happy.
Edit: Seems like I can, yay!

It's on my wishlist for a while, gonna wait for the next sale til I buy it.

If you believe you'd enjoy Darkest Dungeon, then Deep Sky Derelicts is probably worth a look-see.
Hope you find what you're looking for. Happy gaming. :)

Looks promising, I wish it was cheaper tho. Thanks for the suggestion!

If you want something a bit different, Crypt of the Necrodancer is fun.
Shovel Knight is a 2D platformer I really enjoyed.

Found Courier of the Crypts while searxhing for them. :3 Waiting for sale is hardest thing. :(

Spelunky (considered to be one of the finest examples of its sub-genre)
Rogue Legacy (same as the above, I found it quite addictive)
Darkest Dungeon & Hyper Light Drifter (both a bit more pricey, but well worth the money ofc)
UnEpic (nice game with tons of stuff to go for in terms of missions, unlockables, etc, lots of funny moments as well)
Hero Siege (top-down rogue-like with hordes of enemies and loot)
Super House of Dead Ninjas (I really enjoyed this, easy to learn the basics, but gets progressively harder)
Dungeon of the Endless (also hard at times, but very well crafted)
Renowned Explorers: International Society (really fun and surprisingly deep strategic board game - no dungeons per se, but I highly recommend it nonetheless)

A few more games I missed, though some have already been mentioned by other users above :)

Blazblue, and I highly recommend you to start with continuum shift if it's your first time playing the series.
Its a fighting game, but with a story and lots of characters with different playstyle

I got Skullgirls in my library but have not played it.
Loved 2d fighting games few years ago, but nah now.

The Swindle is a really good 2d stealth game where you're trying to pull of a series of heists. It really creates a sense of tension like a good heist movie in a way few games succeed at.
If you like weird humor Little Inferno is a wild trip.
Recettear is an adorable old school Japanese game where you run an item shop for adventurers and go into dungeons to get the stuff you sell to them. It's a really cute JRPG.

All of the above looks epic, but they're overpriced IMO.

Steamtrades, fam. I got a $25 game for 0.40 in cards from that site. I don't think I'll get anything from the store directly again.
Comment has been collapsed.
I know, right? :3 There was a few people selling dungeon type games, but they didn't take liking in my inventory. :(
I live in CIS region, so prices are cheap anyways, plus if I have to pay like $2 in cards, I prefer to buy directly from Steam as maybe I won't enjoy it.
Comment has been collapsed.
But what do I do when I have over $20 in my Steam wallet? :(
Thanks for the suggestion btw, I got a bright idea just now - if I like the game, I'll find a copy for cheap and refund the current one. :3

Spend the steam wallet on CSGO keys and sacks of gems, buy stuff with that once the waiting period is up?

Not really a dungeon game, but Battle for Wesnoth was released yesterday on steam. It's turn-based strategy released in 2003 and is still getting updates, so it doesn't require a powerful PC. I really love it, and if you like this kind of games you really should give it a try.

Those are great ones, indeed.
I was super hyped for Kingdom for a while but when I got it on Steam, I thought it was a very hard game, so I skipped it.

Gonna purchase In Celebration of Violence right now. :3

Someone already mentioned it. I have it in my library untouched, so I'm gonna try it out.

I'll just list my well-perceived "rather-low-spec-2D-games" for you, regardless of genre, maybe you'll find something you can enjoy as much as I did:
Baldur's Gate I & II - both have a remaster available if your PC can handle it (which isn't too hard to achieve, but having actual 1920x1080 feels really nice)
Darkest Dungeon -that's already on your radar, I know, still want to mention my recommendation, the game's atmosphere is stunning and the art-style fits perfectly (Early Access buy)
Dead Cells - IF your machine can handle it, it's a nice follow-up to
Rogue Legacy - Both games are great Metroidvanias (where Dead Cells is still in Early Access, which I buy very scarcely but this one was worth it)
FTL: Faster Than Light - Hands down the best 2D game past the SNES era for me... ...I've sunk so many hours of my time into this game and don't regret a second of it
Jagged Alliance II - Have played the old one when it came out and enjoyed it a lot, have re-bought the Gold Pack a few years back and it didn't catch me for a complete playthrough again, but if you haven't played it yet, it's worth a look
Ori and the Blind Forest - your machine most likely won't be able to handle it, but holy smokes is that a beatiful game
RimWorld - this is maybe the second-best 2D game after the SNES era I've played. (Early Access buy)
Stardew Valley - Already on your radar, just want to give the advice to be careful with modding. My first playthrough was unmodded, for my second one I modded too much, including item generators for convience but exactly this convenience spoiled the fun for me (Early Access buy if I remember correctly)
Dust: An Elysian Tale - The artstyle may not be for everyone and it might be too hardware-hungry for you,
but I enjoyed my 100% playthrough a lot and the fact that this game was written, designed and programmed by a single guy is just mind-blowing
"Tormentum - Dark Sorrow" - got this rather short P&C for cheap, but I liked the artstyle and the occult atmosphere
Gnomoria - Basically Minecraft flooded with gnomes. Cute game
This ends my list. I hope you and/or someone else reading this gets a look at a new game for her-/himself.
Have a good one! :)

So many people giving recommendations for FTL. I'll definitely buy it.
Thanks for the great list!

Thanks for the list!

I play on a netbook, so pretty much all my games are low-spec! I don't play many dungeon crawlers, but here are some suggestions:

I won Tumbleseed few days ago, I'll give it a try. :3
Other ones are good too, thanks for the list!

I wouldnt count any game you listed as a dungeon crawler (though I can see why you used the term). However, try Neo Scavenger: https://store.steampowered.com/app/248860/NEO_Scavenger/
Theres a demo available as well.

Earth Overclocked might not be "exactly" dungeon crawler, but other 3 100% are.
Well the title was 2D games, I just mentioned dungeon crawlers because I love them.

Not a dungeon, but Dune (not Dune II or Dune 2000, just Dune) is pretty low spec and quite 2D 👀

Anyone knows of any good dungeon crawler or 2D games in general for low spec PCs?
One of my favourites was Dungeon Souls. tried Overture, Princess.Loot.Pixel.Again and Earth Overclocked. Those 3 were OK I guess.
Bought Risk of Rain and Hammerwatch 2 days ago. Both were good ones, but not too cool.
Loved survival games similar to Terraria year ago, but when I bought Crea (a week ago), I realised I no longer have liking in those types of games.
So... can anyone suggest me some really good 2D/dungeon games? Dungeon Souls gave me 10 hours of ultimate fun, and I can't find games to make me feel the same.
