what u think?
1.Red Potatoes the theme could be about astrology (just my opinion)
2.Shawshank Redemption one of the best classic movies

I don't know, it has nice cast and narrative? It's certainly one of the movies of all time :P
Jokes aside, it's a good movie that tells a good story. That's probably not the reason it's the greatest movie of all time, but it's enough for me :D I should watch it again now that you mentioned it :P
Hmm, can't remember any important moment for games. I guess I'm just sleepy ^^"

First of all, I need to thank you for the pool. That first option really made me smile. With everything going on it's those small things that matter.
Not I would feel bad not to try to answer the questions, so here we go:

1) I like trains. Plus, potato is one of my fav words. I just like saying it. Poe Tay Toe. I like it way WAY more than Tomato. Tomato, as a word, does nothing for me. Potato is magic. Red Potato is my vote.
2) When I hear someone in the 'real world' say, "decidedly inconvenient" I know it means 2 things. It means they've seen Shawshank Redemption recently, and they have a great taste in movies. Such a beautiful movie.
3) My best gaming moment in 2021 was experiencing Hollow Knight. The moment in question is when, after failing repeatedly on a boss, finally beating him/her and the sense of satisfaction I felt... then said to myself, "This game's AMAZING!" Felt sooooo gooooood!

I watched the start film because you mentioned it and I've had it on the backburner for a while. It probably has the most humorous dialogue in a movie that I've watched (me being a zoomer and mostly watching movies for younger audiences). My favorite line was, "You people run this place like a f** prison!" Andy's appreciation for chess really made me love his character, not anything else. Also it was so funny recognizing the Guard Captain as Mr. Krabs VA. Pretty discernible when he swears if you ask me.
I totally forgot that this was supposed to be in a few words, so my best summation would be: it has real soul.
Edit: watched more, and that brooks scene though...

hehe that part gets me every time, easy to miss if you dont pay attention, but still golden.
And that is something i didnt know, never really been good at knowing who voices diferent things in the animated movies/shows i watch.
And yes, the brooks scene also gets me every time, just in a sad way :/

nr 1 - not sure but i like dem potatoes red and fried and crispy! :)
nr 2 - how can a movie not be awesome when it has Morgan Freeman and is based on Stephen King's book?? (i also have a nice profile imho :))
nr 3 - best 2021 moments.. finished all TF2 cheevos and after that continued with dark souls 1+remaster :)

For 2. The title itself includes how the movie would end, but the storyline of the main character is well-written, who goes through the hardships and finally get the freedom. The narration of Morgan Freeman is one of the other elements making watchers get into the movie. The last sentence - “In Memory of Allen Greene.”

1: Rainbow Potatoes, that's also a theme?
2: Strangely, movies in prison are nearly always great, and Stephen King never failed.
3: Horizon Zero Dawn. It was a game that I won here in SG. The story was great, especially how it manages to tell the history behind how the world become filled with these strange robots. And graphics were the best I had encountered in an open world, and yes I know the game isn't really young because it was a PS4 game first, but I was really impressed.

1: AnotherA true theme: a DLC train like karm2002 did
2: Yes, it's a great one too!
3: I played with mouse and keyboard and I think it really make it easier to be precise in targeting parts of robots. Dunno how it is with a controller.

ok so i am "close" to both my 8th cake day and 5000 games gifted, wanted to reach those goals around the same time
Wow, that's impressive O_o
I didn't miss them, since I haven't participated in any of them. At least I think I haven't. I rarely discuss something on this forum until I really need to speak to someone. I have trouble communicating with people even in my native language, what to say about English — my grammar is pretty bad and it takes some time and effort to express myself clearly. I haven't any thoughts about the train theme, but "communication" suggests itself.
I've heard a lot of great things about this movie, but I haven't watched it. It's probably a subconscious thing. The person who recommended this movie to me first is not a person whose advice I would trust the slightest)
The best moment was the completion of Dark Souls Remastered. I loved the original Demon's Souls back in the day, but I have love/hate "relationships" with the first Dark Souls due too many reasons. But I've finally completed it with DLC and got all the achievements (despite I'm not a completionist) — just to be done with this game once and for all.

1 - Few ideas for trains, the first has a set number of games but the others allow more flexibility and you can choose how many:

I don't really have answers for your questions, besides the third one. So, the best gaming moment was playing WoW and meeting you and other nice people :D

1, because while I was registered in sg before your last train I only started becoming active in the forums around late 2020's. You're before my time, old man/woman/anime catgirl! As for theme, there are a lot of possible themes but I feel like since it's your cakeday soon just choose your favorite game of this year and make your picks branching from that.
The Shawshank Redemption is, in my opinion, made unforgettable by its portrayal of the lives of former inmates once their sentence is served. Most prisons not just in the US but all around the world are punitive rather than rehabilitative and the consequences of such a system really show in the Shawshank Redemption. A logical consequence glossed over by the movie to sanitize the topic is that such a system also promotes recidivism. If people don't feel they belong but know a place where they do, they will gravitate to the latter each and every time without a support system. Treating people inhumanly encourages all involved to forget how to be human.
Disgaea 5 for me! I've always liked TBS (and strategy games in general) and it really got me into the whole franchise. Shame I haven't had much energy to play games lately tho...

1.- Since you are going for 5k giveaways, I think it'd be fun to use games based on numbers too, like Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion (with its 1k doors theme) or Slipstream 5000, etc...
2.- Can't comment on this one since I was a baby at the time
3.- My best gaming moment was getting to replay nier with it's HD remaster, I really liked that game back when it came out for ps3 (the japanese version, the american version with old nier was terrible)

1: Turnips is my answer to both. I just like saying turnips.
2: Morgan Freeman saying "Andy Dufresne Motherfucker" will forever be burnt into my mind. Highly doubt that line is actually in the movie but I can hear it clearly in my head. But seriously a great film.
3: Been playing a lot of deception games this last year. Something special about gaining a friends complete unquestionable trust and having two of them point fingers at each other, then laughing maniacally as their fates are sealed.

Ok so hello again SG.
Here i am yet again, with some random thoughts and stupid questions.
1: ok so i am "close" to both my 8th cake day and 5000 games gifted, wanted to reach those goals around the same time.
And i was thinking about making another one of my really big trains, any ideas what theme i can go for?
also, on a scale from 1 to Red Potatoes, how much have u missed my trains? :o
2: Will be making a bunch of whitelist and group GA's next months, so if you wanna join my whitelist, describe in a few words why the Shawshank Redemption is the greatest movie of all time.
Or you can have a really cool profile :p
For those of you who are here early, there are a bunch of them going on right now.
3: what is your best gaming moment in 2021? :D
my favorite moment was completing red dead 2 for the first time, that shit was amazing!
