I've been through a few hurricanes before and know how that is to be without power or running water for weeks at a time. Good to hear you made it through ok. :)

A shame that people looted. I can see if a person was starving and took something to feed themselves (or their family), but stealing things like television sets, cars, and other things like that? Scummy, indeed.

Sorry to hear about that, I'm glad you're safe. Objects can be replaced (eventually, after fighting with insurance companies) but the people cannot be. The trauma for a one person or a single family is immense, but when you take a step back and see entire towns wiped out, thousands of people all suffering so much loss, it's really tragic. I wish the best and a speedy recovery to you, your family and your neighbors!

Whoo! I'm back online, its been weeks. We had no power, internet and water. I had to poop and pee outside.
We got power a few days ago, and water the day later, now the internet!. Im very lucky, the only thing i lost is my job (building destroyed).
I just wanted to thank so many people who came by to volunteer and help. There are a lot of looting right now and the road is very unsafe, but hopefully that will end soon.
