So how do groups work around here. How do you get into one, and when you're in one how do the giveaways work? I love doing random giveaways but I would much rather see the games going to people I'm interacting with rather than just some random person.

You can make a group, and set a giveaway for a group that you are in. Or you can look around for a group.

Those groups are from the Steam Community, you have to make them there, people who join a group have to resync their account here in SG. After that, when you make a giveaway, you can choose who can enter, Everyone, Invite Only,Steam Group, then a drop menu shows up and you choose the group that can see the giveaway.

Be active in chat...give away a lot of games etc. And you can create a giveaway for a group and it will only show up for members of that group on steam. A lot of groups require you to giveaway 1 game per month also.
