Once and if they get released they get the 15% bundled cv, if they release the games at the price they say they would (wich sometimes it doesn't happen, devs can say it will be 50$ and then put it on 1$, they are free to do everything just to get greenlighted) Anyway if all the games get released at said prices it would be 5.08$ Real CV each bundle.. ($25.43 - 5 bundles and $44.17 - 10 bundles)

This would require them to
a) get greenlit
b) get released on Steam
c) at those prices
(etc)

Well, one last Greenlight bundle for me then. Still, it was nice from Steam to help me cure this greenlight bundle addiction I caught from Mille.

Do you expect Greenlight's fateful disappearance finalised that swiftly?

If they stop Greenlight, they cannot submit any more games to it. So yes, it should stop quite fast.

So it's a pay now, get nothing and hope for the best. I'll gladly pass on this "great" offer.

I like how you can choose to buy 2, 5 or even 10 bundles of nothing. That is something :).

Well, last year you could hope that eventually a game will be greenlit one day (maybe even several months later), so i might have purchased such a bundle. With imminent changes/drop of Greenlight, I'm not sure who would risk buying nothing at all.

Hard Rock Zombie Truck and Postmen Of Horizon were released on Steam. No answer from the developers (see links) or OtakuMaker (I contacted them ~20 days ago).

Oh, and Voonny is on Itch.io. If it won't be published on Steam it would be nice to at least have the game there (again, I contacted the developer ~1.5 months ago and no answer).

The same goes for And Then There Were None, though I haven't tried to contact the developer I've sent him a tweet, let's see how that goes...

When I contacted them about previous games being released on Steam but not getting keys they blamed it on one dev (I think we all know the one I'm talking about) going back on it and not giving them keys. They offered me 25 per cent off the store - I said no thanks. I guess other devs saw that happening and decided they didn't want to do it, either. Really annoying. I asked for my money back but they refused.

I think I know which developer you're talking about (´ڡ`)

I guess giving ITCH.io codes for "And Then There Were None" and "Voonny" is up to the devs. They only promised Steam keys if their games were greenlit. I don't even know if they got any money from the bundle if their games weren't greenlit, I don't know how it works if they didn't pass the Greenlight process. If they received any money, I guess the correct thing to do is to give the purchasers access to the game on ITCH.io (Otaku Maker didn't even provide demos for their Greenlight bundles, unlike Groupees).

"Hard Rock Zombie Truck" and "Postmen Of Horizon" have no excuse, unless their developer's name is Vadim Starygin, the moronic bastard.

I think those games weren't greenlit, the promise was "get us greenlit (on steam) we give keys".. they weren't greenlit, they paid the steam direct fee, so they (probably) feel like they don't owe buyers anything (even though they got some dollars, they've spend probably more on direct fees than they've earned on otaku)

It was an all around shady deal, you bought without knowing for certain if you were gonna get the game or not.. only that said dev was a total douche, since he got greenlit and money, and no keys given.

Ah, I see. Yeah, I guess the end of Greenlight muddied the waters. Although, in the case of these bundles, the end of Greenlight had already been announced before the bundle was put together so everyone knew it was coming and they would be unlikely to be greenlit within the little time left. I don't think there was any smallprint, I guess if it said 'if the game is greenlit you will get steam keys' or if it said 'if the game comes to steam you will get steam keys' there's a big difference. Either way, it wasn't made clear to the people buying the bundles who would assume if the game ended up on steam they would get keys (because humans are optimists lol). It should have been spelled out a bit clearer that this would only happen if they went through the greenlight system. But then of course people would have weighed up the odds of that happening and probably not bothered buying the stupid bundle lol. I guess I'm just going to write it off and not buy anything from their site again. Bah.

TheCrazyCatLady already summed up everything. I guess it all depends on whether they received money from the bundle sales or not. Vadim Starygin, the moronic bastard developer, always complained about the profit he made from including his games on these bundles. What he doesn't realize (or doesn't want to admit, being such a poor scammer) is, as you said, that if he would have wanted to publish his games without the help of Greenlight, OKM bundles and our purchases/votes going the Steam direct way he would have (probably) spent a fair amount of money doing so.

I always had two major issues with OKM Greenlight bundles: not knowing if you would receive anything for what you had paid (as you explained), and also the fact that they never offered a DRM-free/demo download of the games (similar to what Groupees have always done). If a game didn't finally pass Greenlight, at least we'd have a DRM-free copy of it, or at least we would have been able to try a demo.

The way some developers just removed the Greenlight pages from the face of the earth (or resubmitted the games in a shady way) doesn't help to these bundles' reputation, either.
