Ah, I see. Yeah, I guess the end of Greenlight muddied the waters. Although, in the case of these bundles, the end of Greenlight had already been announced before the bundle was put together so everyone knew it was coming and they would be unlikely to be greenlit within the little time left. I don't think there was any smallprint, I guess if it said 'if the game is greenlit you will get steam keys' or if it said 'if the game comes to steam you will get steam keys' there's a big difference. Either way, it wasn't made clear to the people buying the bundles who would assume if the game ended up on steam they would get keys (because humans are optimists lol). It should have been spelled out a bit clearer that this would only happen if they went through the greenlight system. But then of course people would have weighed up the odds of that happening and probably not bothered buying the stupid bundle lol. I guess I'm just going to write it off and not buy anything from their site again. Bah.

TheCrazyCatLady already summed up everything. I guess it all depends on whether they received money from the bundle sales or not. Vadim Starygin, the moronic bastard developer, always complained about the profit he made from including his games on these bundles. What he doesn't realize (or doesn't want to admit, being such a poor scammer) is, as you said, that if he would have wanted to publish his games without the help of Greenlight, OKM bundles and our purchases/votes going the Steam direct way he would have (probably) spent a fair amount of money doing so.

I always had two major issues with OKM Greenlight bundles: not knowing if you would receive anything for what you had paid (as you explained), and also the fact that they never offered a DRM-free/demo download of the games (similar to what Groupees have always done). If a game didn't finally pass Greenlight, at least we'd have a DRM-free copy of it, or at least we would have been able to try a demo.

The way some developers just removed the Greenlight pages from the face of the earth (or resubmitted the games in a shady way) doesn't help to these bundles' reputation, either.
