Eventually, when someone different from you expresses an opinion with a different approach, community users who have earned the "right to not see what they don't want to see button" will learn to avoid it and will settle into an environment where they can either say one bitter word and walk away or make suggestions to make things better.

There was another user that was really appreciated by the community that apparently was leaving, which was heartbreaking for me for everything he had contributed to the community, both in giveaways and in many threads, always being nice. I have to admit I was overjoyed when he finally decided to stay.

You know, recently a politician here said something along the lines of: ''You cannot take away the rights of people that do that to others, if you do, you lose the moral authority to condemn them''. I just remembered it, after seeing most of the comments here.

Moderators are people too, and people are all biased, even if some of us strive not to be, it is something that simply cannot be done, we understand reality trough our experiences, and even with tools like books, movies, comics or games, that let you se trough the lenses of someone else, in the end that experience belongs to you and you alone.

I too was banned a long time ago for basically a witch-hunting, so, I understand how one feels when an entire system seems to all be against you. They say that, to grow is to own our mistakes, but I think, it's also to understand that the world and life by extension, are ultimately unfair; The sooner we learn to live while accepting that, the better the life we can have.
