Word comes by way of Kotaku, which acquired leaked documents associated with the game’s voice acting casting call. Interestingly, the documents reference a project code-named Institute; the word “Fallout” never actually makes an appearance anywhere. But the contents of the documents make it quite clear what game is being referenced.

Here we go again.

I really hope this happens. One of my most memorable moments in gaming was stepping out of the vault for the first time in Fallout 3. I would love for this new fallout to happen and give me another awesome experience. >3<

A new Fallout, original-game-style oriented (isometric 3D turn-by-turn), would be sooo great...

No, fuck that. Turn by turn combat was for when we did not have the hardware for proper real time combat.
I'd rather have the game be just like it is right now, that is to say the third and first person perspectives.

What? Fallout was made near the mid 90s, there was definitely "hardware" for real time combat.

I agree with you. Fallout was made when we definitely had real time combat. We had real time combat for more than a decade before Fallout first came out. Turn-based was a smart design decision, not a necessity.

You must be joking. So how do you explain why there are still turn based games like Civilization? Or why there are still turn based dungeoncrawlers like Legend of Grimrock? I guess the technology doesnt exist for them to be real time...

Or maybe a lot of people just like turn based games.

If all IGN is going to do is reference the Kotaku article, why not just link the Kotaku article?

Well, this suggests no Ron Perlman. Which means it won't be Fallout.

The Intistute in the Fallout Universe is what used to be known as the Massachusetts Intistute of Technology before the Great War.
Can't remember the rest besides there androids being used as slaves and there being some Underground Railroad-type thing going on. This was all information from a Fallout 3 quest involving that runaway android.

If its real FO4 will take place in Northeastern US/New England. It'd be cool to see my hometown in the game

If I've learned something in my life, then it would be that never believe anything until it's officially announced. Nonetheless I'd love to see it.

Even thought this proves nothing, I still firmly believe that the game is in development. It's just a matter of time until they decide to announce it officially.

WHOA! It's real? Again? Awesome... To bad it's probably fake.
Though I have no doubt that Fallout 4 WILL be released at some point in the future.
