So this happened a few minutes ago. I played a bit of Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Multiplayer. Usually I don't call a player cheater, just because he had a few lucky shots, but this guy was cheating unashamedly. I had cloak, and I was running towards him. He came out from the corner, and he couldn't even see me, yet he opened fire, and killed me with a headshot. During the killcam, I saw that his aim was moving violently, so he was definitely using an aimbot. I asked him why is he doing this, and not only he admitted that he is really using aim, but he said that he can't be banned, and he's been doing this over a year. I made a little research, and found his Steam Profile. I joined back into his game, and he was the same person. So I reported him on CoD AW MP, and on Steam aswell. He already has 2 VAC bans, yet they didn't revoke his CoD AW Multiplayer access yet. Do you think that Steam or Activision will really investigate that report, or it will be lost among the support requests?

I once read that some company, after similiat situation, greanted some happy player with MP ban on ALL their games so... go for it, it may work.

EDIT: Some company mean either EA or Activision.

:D I hope that they'll ban him. It's okay, if he has better skills than mine, but if he is cheating, that's a nono for me.

Still don't get why people cheat on multiplayer games... doesn't it take all the fun?

You can get a hell of a kick when bothering honest(ish) people. Or so I've heard.

Are you an Overwatcher, or you were reporting someone to Overwatch?

Did report him with some friends and watched the demo. He was bunnyhopping, wall-aiming and had a nice aim-hack with some awesome headshots with aiming at everything else, except the gamer himself.

Well, the majority of Overwatchers count, so maybe 60% of the overwatchers were blind :D

I know VAC bans can only be issued by the VAC system automatically, and can not be manually inputted, but other types of bans can. It's worth a shot reporting, even if nothing comes of it. If they truly are cheating scum eventually it will catch up, and your message will help to show a repeated pattern of abuse.

"Do you think that if you report somebody for cheating via their Steam Profile, they will get banned?"
No, and you're not even referring to a Valve game, Valve has nothing to do with other companies game servers. You'll need to report it to the server admin if there is one, or to Activision (whom will promptly not GAF, because that's what Activision does).

Yeah, probably Valve won't give a FAK either, but it's worth a shot :)
