Desktop Modding Tutorials?

I've seen so much people posting modded desktop screenshots and they look pretty awesome.

So, are there any tutorials on how to do that?

Installed a Portal skin but it doesn't work.

Also, CPU usage is at 100%.

A mate and me finished the coop mode some while ago, but the story mode for single player is just way to scary :D

Only Rainmeter, Objectdock/Rocketdock and some themes/icons are needed really. Here's my desktop. You can find a lot of really good Rainmeter themes HERE
